Approaching these islands by boat is something everyone should experience. Seeing the limestone cliffs rising out of the water coupled with the various beaches and array of long-tail boats is spectacular.
We stayed at a small family run place at one end of the main beach which offered great views, a friendly atmosphere and a quiet and chilled vibe. If ever you go we would recommend Mama Beach Residence and if we go back we will try and stay there.
Our days on Phi Phi included:
Swimming in the clear blue waters and relaxing on the beach
Long-tail boat to Maya Bay and Viking Cove

Lots of great Thai food
Becoming regulars at the nearest beach bar and watching various Thai women’s volleyball team matches with them, while drinking far too many frozen mango daiquiris
Popping into the Reggae Bar, a longstanding venue where visitors sign up to fight each other to win a bucket of cocktail….(no I didn’t before you ask)

Ate at the Tiktok famous Garlic 1992 restaurant (great food but as a man who has never been on Tiktok I rely on Pip to make me aware of these things)
Pip enjoyed 2 massages on the beach and, to a lesser level of enjoyment, got stung by a jellyfish
